Putting the ass in caucass

I know it's not fair to generalize about such things, but I will anyway. I'm pretty sure that even in major markets, most people working at local TV news are morons.

During last night's 6 p.m. newscast, the local NBC affiliate ran a piece about today's Iowa caucus. An on-screen graphic -- something that someone had actually designed with a little logo, and, I assume, a producer had reviewed before popping it on the air -- read, "The Iowa Caucass." Oh, so close.

Nice! I love it. If Jon Stewart had writers, that's probably something The Daily Show would do intentionally.

This is why I only watch the Jim Lehrer News Hour...

Welcome to the blogosphere. Prove your worth in a few more posts and you may just be welcomed to our listing of "favorite blogs" That is, of course, if Loree allows it.

Oh, it's already done. I figured that if Severo's worthy, Brenner's a shoe-in.

Laura, thanks for the welcome. Good tip about Lehrer, too, although changing channels would severely limit my mock-the-news material. Although Loree already gave me a coveted link from WBB, I'll do my best to earn it over the next couple of weeks. (After that, eh.)

L & L, by writing the first two comments on my blog, you win an all-expense-paid link from SFTC, immediately below the snazzy escalator graphic.
